Tabula Rasa is path that investigates the peculiar aspects of a Tabula Rasa that sees in the decay of places and in their reconstruction, the themes for a conceptual analysis of the reinterpretation of the landscape in contemporary art landscapes.

" ... to document the 'ruin' with a presence in the field and to identify the traces of a sacredness of nature that Andrea Morucchio testifies to with the work Eidetic Bush, to reconnect man's experience and take him back to the primordial environment that pervades him.

The artist's gesture, specifically, is an act of love that recounts the everyday and documents it with the perceptible sign of a spiral that envelops the trees in a sort of easily decipherable signatura rerum, where it is still possible to find the hidden desires and fury of the human soul". The work presented by Andrea Morucchio is extremely connected with the theme of the exhibition; Eidetic Bush is a photographic print of one of the slides taken for the elaboration of the homonymous video - audio installation Eidetic Bush (Hobart, Australia 2003). 

The landscape of a burning forest is the "tabula rasa" for the author on which to create, by incising the surface of the burnt trees, a series of spirals which then in the video installation will appear and disappear on the notes of a musical composition by Luigi Nono.

Tabula Rasa è un percorso che indaga gli aspetti peculiari di una Tabula Rasa che vede nel disfacimento dei luoghi e nella loro ricostruzione, i temi per un’analisi concettuale della rivisitazione del paesaggio nei paesaggi contemporanei dell’arte. 

" ... documentare lo ‘sfacelo’ con una presenza sul campo e individuare le tracce di una sacralità della natura che Andrea Morucchio testimonia con l’opera Eidetic Bush, per ricollegare il vissuto dell’uomo e riportarlo all’ambiente primordiale che lo pervade.

Il gesto dell’artista, nello specifico, è un atto d’amore che racconta il quotidiano e lo documenta con il segno percepibile di una spirale che avvolge gli alberi in una sorta di signatura rerum facilmente decifrabile, dove è ancora possibile riscontrare i desideri e i furori nascosti dell’animo umano."
